What kind of substance is alumina powder? 4. Alpha alumina
Alpha-type alumina is also called alumina in industry because it is insoluble in water and acid. It is also the basic raw material used to make metal aluminum, and can also be used to make various refractory bricks, refractory crucibles, refractory tubes, and high temperature test instruments. It can also be used as an abrasive, flame retardant, filler, etc. High-purity alpha-type alumina is also a raw material for the production of artificial corundum, artificial ruby and sapphire. It is also used in the production of board bases for modern large-scale integrated circuits.
5. Gamma type alumina
In addition, it is also commonly used as adsorbent, catalyst and catalyst carrier in petroleum refining and petrochemical industry. In industry, it is a deacidifier for transformer oil and turbine oil, and is also used for chromatographic analysis.
6. Abrasive alumina
Alumina is suitable for a variety of dry and wet treatment processes, and can grind the rough surface of any workpiece finely. It is one of the more economical abrasives. This sharp and water chestnut synthetic abrasive has a hardness second only to diamond, especially suitable for use when there are strict requirements for iron pollution. In addition, other uses of alumina powder are similar to white corundum.
